Good
Randy says: The tomato salad, containing black pepper, salt, diced red onion, and extra virgin olive oil, was very nice. The olive oil was fresh, not rancid. The tomatoes had some flavor. It would have been wonderful with really flavorful tomatoes. The lamb had garlic and other spices in a flavorful red sauce. The lamb was a bit tough and had more gristle than I would have liked but was really delicious.

Jeff says: The beef filet was in strips. The cream sauce was so good I sopped it up with the French fries as not to leave a drop on the plate. I ate Randy's cheesy potatoes. They were good except that they had garlic in them.

Randy says: Our friend had gösfilé, a very mild Swedish white fish (pike/perch), which was breaded and grilled. I thought it tasted much like good quality fish sticks. The dinners came with a house bread that had a thin but solid crust and inside was white and substantial with a mild taste. There were also traditional crisp crackers.

This restaurant serving local food is off the beaten track in Södermalm. It was just around the corner from our hotel and was recommended by the staff. The food was very good, but the room got rather smoky while we were there. The waitress was nice and explained many of the items on the menu to us in English. There were many items on the menu that sounded good that we didn't get a chance to try, such as grilled rib steak with thyme sauce (entrecôte med timjansäs). Definitely next time!
