Randy says: We had heard that they serve Manning Ranch beef, which we're told only uses vegetarian feed (and hence doesn't carry a risk of mad cow) but were disappointed that only one beef entree is from Manning Ranch.

Jeff's Manning Ranch beef filet was tasty, and the truffle mashed potatoes were buttery with a detectable hint of truffle. The green beans and asparagus were perfectly cooked.

On the waiter's recommendation that the lamb was superb, I ordered it. However, it was dry and not, as promised, fork-tender. In fact, both of us were struggling to eat our selections using only the table knives. Steak knives would have been very helpful, but none were provided. The raisin polenta was nice, if a bit over-sweet.

Our iced teas were never refilled either.

The dining room has two large open doors to the patio, subjecting us to cold air and cigar smoke. Being cold and annoyed by smoke did not enhance the evening at all.

I have to say that the prices seem wildly out of line for the mediocre quality, attention to detail, and service.

The salad and flatbread we had at lunch were nice.

Jeff says: I'm very disappointed that there is only one entree that interests me. The prices are way too high and the dining room is way too cold. If we ever go again it'll have to be in the summer.

Something in the frittata was marinated in vinegar. It was either the tomatoes or peppers. I didn't like the sour taste of them, but otherwise it was good.

Maybe this is just not a place to go for dinner. The roasted veggie flatbread we also had at lunch was OK.
