Jeff says: The northwest field greens salad was very good, and the presentation was nice with crusty bread standing up in a base of bleu cheese. The hazelnuts and pears add a wonderful flavor and texture. The stew and the mango smoothie were also very good.
Randy says: Jeff's stew seemed a little sweet to me, and the mango smoothie was very sweet.
As its name implies, Hayden's Lakefront Grill is on a (man-made) lake, which is how we found it. In town for Jeff's friend Jamie's wedding, we thought we would spend some of our free time seeing what was around. We heard there was a nice lake with some restaurants along it, so we went there and found Hayden's for lunch.
You can sit outside by the lake, or inside the dual level dining room which privides unobstructed views of it. The menu has several items inspired by northwest influences such as the delicious northwest field greens salad and the pepper bacon smoked Tillamook cheddar burger. The service was good, and when we drove by at dinner time the place looked packed. If you have nice weather a stop at Hayden's goes well with a walk around the lake, and across the street the park and river.
