Jeff says: Tricons are (apparently) triangular shaped egg rolls. They look much look hamantaschen. We did not know what we were going to get since this was our first day in Sweden and we hadn't picked up any of the words describing food yet. The triangular egg rolls were filled with curried minced chicken and vegetables. I thought they were yummy.

Randy says: I thought the tricons were a little too deep fried. The vegetable soup had mushrooms, peas, cucumber, onion, green beans, carrots, bamboo, boc choy, and green peppers among other things. It was good.

Jeff says: I thought the veggie soup was good too. My beef with curry seemed a little bland, and the beef had an unappetizing pale color.

Randy says: Jeff's beef with curry was not as richly flavored as one would expect, but it did have lots of vegetables and good quality mushrooms. My beef with black beans & green peppers was not great, not bad. Its sauce had an odd acidic aftertaste.

Jeff says: I tasted salt in Randy's beef with black beans, but I didn't detect the aftertaste. The white rice was pretty good for white rice.

Randy says: The green tea needed more steeping at first but the large, extra bold leaves were left in the pot so it eventually got it.

China City is in the trendy district of Södermalm on its busiest thoroughfare full of shops and restaurants. The decor is very traditional with use of woodwork, the color red, and Chinese designs. When we arrived for a late lunch hardly anyone else was there, which meant that there wasn't an intolerable amount of smoking inside. The menu had English which, having just gotten off the plane, train, and taxi, we appreciated, and the Chinese waitress was mostly able to speak to us in English which we also appreciated. The food was nothing to crow about but we thought we might visit a second time and try some other dishes. As it turned out we never made it back because Stockholm has too much variety to go back to the same place twice in one week.
